Lots of smiles.
Lots of trips to the petrol station
Dreading insurance renewals
Trying afford to buy the latest and greatest modifications.

A great community and car, that makes the money well spent.

You can expect your spending money to be steered towards your car, instead of the other nastey/or nice habits you may have.

No more drugs

No more beer

No more ciggies

No more lappies

No more eating out

No more etc etc etc

Strange, i expected lots of massive grins and big experiences you had all had in your pride and joys.

Oh well, i am still looking forward to getting it and hopefully seeing some of you at the various car meets etc

Wonder what mods will be first

6 days and counting

Before you ask

What the best exhaust : go to a meet and listen

What the the best dump valve : a quite one

What are the best tyres : subjective again doesnt matter because in a coupel of years you will have chance to try them all

Whats the average mpg : about 18-25mpg if you are careful

Best advice I was given 4 years ago was to keep it standard and get to know the car before playing.

First mod I would do is to change the back box and centre for something purposeful . The braided brake hoses are a good idea and a decent brake fluid and uprated pads at the same time.

Cheapest first mod is spray the orange plastic wedges in the front bumper, they are just clipped in and can be easily removed. I colour coded mine after buying the spray from Halfords. They will make the spray up while you wait but you need the 3 digit colour code which is on the VIN plate (under bonnet top of passenger side suspension top) it will be something like 74F

Have fun

Chris

Si, sorry abt the mistake I made, presumed it was Si from Notts. I met him for the first time at the Derby meet and in the darkness (under torchlight) had purswaded some poor bugger to fit his new Dawes device!

Right, have decided.

Gonna get rid of the yellow lights and fit clear.

Do i get side lights and side repeaters in the clear or this crystal i have seen.
Also what fitments are they ?
Price ?
Do i need these silver bulds as well ?
Where from ie reliable source for everthing i need ?

My car will be 99 turbo dark blue when i get it

Thanks in advance

for me MY97, dunno if different for other MY's, silvatec part number BU501S for silver side repeater bulbs "capless wedge bulb"(BU581S for offset pins & BU343S for opposite pins described on back of pack) & PY21W for philips silver vision front bulbs if that helps
Fronts have 2 notches that is like the bayonet (i fink its called) lightbulb thingy & sides r just a sorta horizontal thing which just pushes into the slot

welcome to the club. You will be hooked....

If you get a chance to see Scoobyk's car(Sussex). It is dark blue and started off as a standard UK scoob. It is a fantastic looking car with great mods(best I have ever seen). It shows you what you could do to your car once you get that modifing bug.
Best wishes
Steve
