Solberg gets a third.....

But I bet he will still not be classed as the "top" driver at Subaru...... even if Tommy leaves next year (he does not look very happy of late).
Petter is certainly the most consistantly placed driver for Subaru this season.... and he is young.... and he has the drive and determination that Makinen is lacking at the moment.
Any thoughts?

Subaru team chief David Lapworth praised the efforts of Petter Solberg after the Norwegian finished third on the Sanremo Rally, his first podium on tarmac. But Lapworth reckons we won't be waiting that long until we see his star driver on the top step.

The boy has got the "stuff"
Subaru's Petter Solberg says he's ready to take the battle to Peugeot on the season's final three rounds following his podium place on last weekend's Sanremo Rally.
The Norwegian star was the only non-Peugeot driver to score a fastest stage time in Italy and he held off a charging Richard Burns on the final day of the rally to take his first podium on tarmac. His performance on Sanremo gives him confidence for the season's final gravel rallies, Rally New Zealand, Australia and Great Britain.
