Driven - bunch of 4rse tonight again

Cant beleive Im watching(well sort of ) Driven and what the hell has happened to it? I used to look forward to tuning in, but it seems to have turned into some middle of the road every man car show to appeal to any old bugg3r. Im sure it used to try to appeal to the petrol heads, but not any more.
Channel 4 - Sort it out, Rev Bobs torque show beats this
(one ferrari article doesnt mean a good show)

They can stick Car Sumo up their Ar$e, surely there is enough real motorsport that they could fill 5 minutes with.
I think they missed an excellent oppourtunity to sneak in some technical details about LSD and driving dynamics but instead had a chump eating doughnuts!!!!!

why do they have presenters and then get the director to do part of show (did he pull rank) and also a load of joe public to review the cars? I thought that was their job.
At this rate, I can't wait for the return of 5th Gear and Top Gear to see if they are any better.

I can’t believe I have just spent 30 mins of my life watching the utter most cr*p car program on TV. It’s the last time I ever watch Driven. Meaningless tosh of the first order, with some top journalist from the program ‘testing’ the new Enzo and uttering ‘I am speechless’. Oh please! At least say it was the greatest drive of my life but no…he picks out the lack of electric windows and the fact is has no stereo! All of this relayed in the most monotonous ‘Marvin – from Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy’ voice. What a load of Cr*p!

Top Jorno?
"when he talks people listen" are they winding us up? A 4yr old could have given a better review. Program must be run by Red Ken, as this would put people off buying cars.

I didn't see the first program of the new series, saw last nights and can't believe how bad it is. I won't be watching again.
Absolutely appalling
This used to be the best car program on the box. What has gone wrong.

It's gone bollox. Used to be a decent alternative to top gear.
The bit where they were saying the Germans have the exec market sewed up, then wondering if a Skoda could compete.
Ain't the fukcing skoda owned by VW?!?!?!
W@nk.

Lets be honest what good petrol head progs are there?
Rev bob:
some good parts but mostly a load of cr@p,
Driven:
been coverd,
Top gear Gti:
not bad but its on Digital only ,
Deals on wheels:
seen all 10 of these progs about 30 times this week alone,
Jordon on Ice or whatever it was:
ROFLMAO,
I've probably missed a few but then they cant have been that memorable.
Ok they have to cater for most peoples taste but Top gear always had a great formula and mix for Petrol Heads and sunday drivers alike. The presenters if very opionated were still very entertaining. Bring back top gear with Clarkson and tiff and maybe even Quentin Wilson

did any one here the girl presenter on the rally round on 4 up last night describe, i think it was mcraes' focus, as having six PAD calipers instead of six pot or was it
a. my imagination after a couple of sherbets
b.some new sort of braking system i am ignorant of
or
c. was the lovely lady talking a pile of ****?
i've heard her drop a couple of dodgy ones before.

Both drivel and the rally coverage are pants. Didn't think it was possible to bring rally coverage down to such lows as tonight. Tabloid telly.
I look forward to Top Gear's return on the 7th October. Never thought I's see myself writing this

It would appear that the "advertisers" (those who provide the revenue/funds for the motoring TV programmes now wholly on commercial TV)are now calling the programme content tune as well ..... he/she who pays the piper ....
Advertisers need and thus want a W I D E R audience ... not just "petrol head" enthusiasts like me and most of the visitors to this and other car enthusiast web-sites. But your avarage Joe or Jill who avidly reads "What Car" or whatever before buying thier new car, often without actually driving the thing properly before doing so. Hey, why am I disappointed with my latest new car when here in print I'm advised it's the best of the bunch ... "appens ... frequently. Remember that many drivers do not know the location of their bonnet release let alone what goes on underneath therein ..... ))
I suspect that these aspects play are much larger part in programme style, direction and content than the presenters would ever admit. Maybe explains why those car manufacturers that sometimes advertise during these same TV motoring programmes commercial breakes, invariably get above average reviews of their product ...... apart from MG-R/ARG/BL/BMC which has always been the whipping boy irrespective of advertising revenues on both commercial and non-commercial TV .... :O))
No names no pack drill but I'm convinced certain manufacturers have one or two TV motoring "journalists" in their back pocket or even on their payroll. Thus, truly unbiased opinions have become a rarity .....
Have I got it wholly wrong or do others see it this way too?
