numberplate sizes on MY01

Anybody put 280mm x 203mm number plates on their MY01? Or don't they fit.
My original ones are cracked was about to order new ones. Fancied those square ones if they fit.

Why not pop along to a sign maker and get custom sizes made up to fit the backing plates on your WRX?
I had my front made up the same size as the mounting and a square-ish one made up for the back to cover the holes (wide enough to cover the vertical lines)
Both cost a fiver each IIRC
