Spotted this morning on the M5 going north between J6 and J5...
"D1 VAN" on a van with signwriting on it for "The Bed Shop".
Well made me laugh, anyway

See L4MBO quite often in London on a Diablo.
Max bygraves used to have MB1....Mercedes offered him ££££££ for it but he wouldn't sell.
H15 LOT on an Elan.
S3ANS on a pickup truck i think!
A guy in northamopton has a Carrera S with something like DAN or DAZ but underneath it says KISS MY *** at the back. Any local P1 owners fancy getting NO KISS MINE in the back of theirs and going hunting

Saw LEW15 (or LEW1S) on a Merc 500SL while in a drunken stuper, trying to find my way back to my hotel after a session in the Quayside district of Newcastle.

I have seen the same plate on an M Cabrio (though not necessarily the same M3 Cabrio) in Little Hallingbury, Herts. Used to see it most mornings on the way to work. Also LAM130 (LAMBO) and 100BRA (1 COBRA) and C5AXO (C SAXO). The disadvantages of these sort of plates is you generally have to sell them with the car (unless you get a new one that's the same model).

An amusing (sort of) story from the early 70's.
Edward Heath when he was Prime Minister was being chauffered around London, and noticed a gleaming black Rolls limousine with the registration EH 1 on it.
He ordered his chauffer to flag down the car, to see if the owner would sell it. Eddie jumped out of his car, and tapped on the blacked-out back window. Slowly it whirred down, and when asked if the registration was for sale, Engelbert Humperdink (at his heyday at that time) cooly replied that it wasn't, at any price! British Prime Minister 0, Rock Star 1 !

Not funny, but I saw ST 1 (all letters close together) on a Wagon on the M4 last week. Is he/she here? It must be worth a bit in its own right - why put it on such a cheap car

Saw that in Kingston a couple of months ago. Wouldn't mind, but its not even a Sti wagon. Looked like a MY01 GL to me

If you exit Southampton through Bevois Valley, there's a car repair shop there with the back end of a Mini wedged in their wall... it has registration OSH1T :-)
Saw P2URR on a Puma yesterday too.

My mate sold LOG1N for £18k.
Reason - private plates get you pulled. He had the rozzers round after members of the public reported him for going a bit mental. Got done too.......
Daz - boring fact the truck racer Steve Parrish owns PEN1S.

On my way down past Silverstone ( on M1 between M6 - J14 ) on British GP day I saw RAP1D - Ferrari 456 - Previous post.
800B is near where I live on an Audi.
250GTO on Ferrari 250 GTO at Coys.
A few years ago 15EXY on Countach.

There's a yellow Diablo with the plate D14BLO which I've seen a few times in Godalming. I gather it's owned by a rock star or something.
I'm still trying to get OTW4Y (my surname, if you don't know) released by the DVLA SOM but they won't issue it.
