I have just put a deposit on a MY01 wagon with PPP.

Does anyone have performance figures for a PPP'd MY01?

Well they are the official figures at least.

Of course yours may vary... due to temperature, weather conditions and numerous other factors.

I was looking more for 0-60, 0-100, flat out etc.

What were the quoted figures for the UK 300?

Question

Discoboy,

Dunno about 0-60... be it WRX or UK300, the figures would be the same. Some speculated circa 5.5secs instead of the standard WRX/UK300 0-60 of 5.9secs

Someone who was running 280Bhp/270lbs torque was getting around the 5sec mark for 0-60s - this was full decat '01 WRX (infact I think a UK300) with PPP as well... RB5SCOTT - are you still about?

Do you really want to rag it to death?

I cant bring myself to drop it at 5k just to see if the poor little 2litre can make the magazine times

If you do buy it, enjoy

I'd reckon 0-100 in around 15 seconds, but surely 30-70 in about 5.5 is more meaningful ?

Autocar logged the RB5 (with PPP) as 0-60 in 4.8s and 100 in 13.9s. Evo similar with 14.0s to 100.

Sorry, just realised you meant 01MY. Derr. Think Evo tested a UK300 with PPP at 16.something (versus 18s for a standard o1MY) when they compared old to new.

Figures help but from practical experience the PPP makes the car Sooo much better to drive.

It actually (like a train) pulls in fifth!

Acceleration is hugely improved - couldnt believe the difference when I collected mine!

Cool

The times are academic. I was simply interested.

Collecting a 2nd hand WR Blue wagon with PPP at the end of the month.

Just wetting my appetite you might say.

RBScott, I got 14.1s for my non-PPP RB5 (BB & mid) So a lardy 01MY needs another 70 bhp to shave less than a second off a 99MY time
