Dont worry Christian, most of us would rather be where you are!!!
luftyone, you'll probably find there are actually 100's of members on this BBs from all over the world!!! Ardex K500 is a self levelling cement (probably not what you are after) made from a mixture including primer!!! Are you building your own drag strip???

Christian, there is at least one other person from Jersey on here, me! Must confess I have not noted many others here or on sidc which surprises considering the number of scoobys around here.

Where do you Channel Islanders get to use your car's potential?
Im guessing it is still only a 40mph max limit.
Do you get to go in for that hillclimb thing over there (Boulay Bay or something IIRC) and how often is it run (if at all these days)?
Neil.

Not for long - just got myself a job out in Guernsey with a 15yr licence.....
Lived there before for 4 years - hopefully for good now. Low crime, low tax, no commute, fresh air, quality of life, nice people (even in Jersey )
Yaaaayyyy!!!

well no tax - yes but it is quite a myth..
Jersey is an island - people charge what they want, as no other competition! Most prices of goods in shops (apart from booze/cigs) are the same price if not a bit higher!!
Also one bedroom flat over here looking at roughly 120,000!! so not so good now is it?

Back from the dead to say that Guernsey speed limit is 35, not 25. I think I'm the only regular netter on here from Guernsey as Taff doesn't post anymore AFAIK.
PS. Guernsey's better than Jersey too!!!:P

Well I've been around since Scoobynet first started.
A couple of scoobys have entered the hill climb and been very quick.
Christian has never had the bottle to enter his car for the hill climb or sprints
Scooby would be a lot more populat over here if the dealer was better. I had ordered a 1999/2000 car back in the days when there were long waits. Called into dealer to see about ordering Prodrive upgrade and told to move my car from outside the garage because the owners daugther wanted to park her car to go shopping nearby. Told to park down the road and walk back to dealership. Decided to park my car at home and phone through my cancellation

My first scoobynet id is "ChrisR" and I registered back in 05-08-1999!! Think I am the longest Channel Island member
Toerag> I said the speed limit was 30mph (I did know it 35mph) to get a responce - never mentioned 25mph!
Crapaud62 > What do you mean never had the bottle? I just didn't know about it.. However, things have changed, and for your information, I shall hopefully be in the sprints at the end of the month! Saturday 29th march! As I am now a member of the relevant clubs!
I have always found majors garage very helpful.
