Someone Ripped My ProDrive Spoiler Off On Friday Night
#1
On Friday night in Clifton, Bristol at around 2am some b£$%ards ripped my ProDrive spoiler off the back of my car. In doing so they managed to wreck my boot.
This leaves me having to fork out for a new spoiler, boot and paint. A fact that I'm rather p*ssed at.
If anyone in the Bristol area is offered a silver ProDrive spoiler for their car that has damage to the offside base (the bottom inch snapped off of it). I would be most gratefull. Especially in tracing the individuals involved so that I can have my friends come round and prise off their limbs.
Has anyone else had their car wrecked in such a manner?

what a pointless thing to do. What can you do with a broken silver spoiler???
Maybe an sti V spoiler is the way to go - think they fix all along the boot not just at the sides so 'king hard to remove.

I will keep an eye out for ads in the local rags. Friday nights are bad for petty car crime in Bristol (grrr). I've had my locks done a few years back, they left the boot and doors wide open, but nicked nothing (eh?) and more recently had CD's and a camera nicked from my car in St Michaels (Maternity) Hospital car park.
Good luck in finding the b@stards

Same thing happened to me so I know how you feel. BA$TARDS!
Probably just as well you didn't catch them in the act - you might have ended up in hospital or in prison!
Anyway - hope you get it sorted soon.

P.S. welcome to Scoobynet!

Condolences - I specifically picked 5dr as it is less conspicuious. It was less than 1 week old when some B*****D put a great big scratch across the boot.
No matter what if you have a nice car someone seems to attack it. Perhaps I should buy an old 'landie' NOT.
DONT EVER let the B*****S spoil your fun.

Thanks for all of your replies and offers to keep an eye out.
I've decided to put a standard spoiler on the car as the £1400 worth a damage to replace everything they wrecked isn't something I'm looking to repeat.
Thankfully another Scooby owner has come to my rescue with a standard high level spoiler.
It's just a pity that this decision has been made by a moron who doesn't understand that you should earn not take.

Same thing happened to me last year, outside my house. Couldn't believe it when I woke up to find the spoiler gone. I felt sure I would of heard something, perhaps I'm a heavy sleeper or maybe these 'wristers' were just good at theiving.
The idiots were left with a spoiler that wouldn't fit securely on another Scooby, as bits of it had broken off and were still left attatched to the boot. I guess by now it's been 'no more nailed' onto the back of a Calibra. Nice!
Now repaired damage and fitted new spoiler. Have also fitted spring loaded sensor under spoiler that will trigger the alarm if someone tries to remove it.
Also, I have increased the proximity sensor so that if anyone gets too close to any part of the car, the car lets out a really load chirp.
Funny how different people react to a nice car. Mate of mine has a Ferrari, an old one, but a red Ferrari none the less. Parks it in Swindon - comes back and someone has gobbed on the windscreen. Week later, goes to Norfolk, returns to find a rose under the wiper blade.
At the end of the day it's just a car and I try to tell myself this whenever I hear stories like this. But another part of me would like to get hold of these toe-rags and well you can guess the rest.
Damn I feel better now.
Mark.
