If you stick with Autoglym, make sure you use the two coats - wax+protective gloss 1hr dry stuff. Crap paintwork needs all the protection it can get!

Without doubt I would recommend Wax Wizard especially if you have a dark coloured car as it is less prone to creating swirl marks in your paintwork, which are more visible on dark colours.

WW is a lot more expensive than Autoglym, but the end result is also very noticeable.

Why not try the 3M stuff in the black container.
Contains no silicon and I find it gives a high gloss finish.

WW also (reputedly, I don't use it) doesn't leave white streaks in your rubber seals and bumpers, which is something that always irritated me with Autoglym.

Autoglym is reputed to leave alot of dust, especially noticable on Dark Cars.

However, if used in the same manner as Wax Wizard it will not dust (i.e apply product to small area and work it until tacky, then remove with clean cloth).

I'm currently using both Autoglym (and have done for years) and Wax Wizard. At the moment I can't decide which is best (if used in the same manner).

If you let both products dry too much then they both leave dust behind.

Wax wizaed Cleanse is the stuff to use to get the paintwork smooth.

I used Auto Glym for years then when i got my WRX bought Wax Wizard starter kit, there is no comparison, Marks (Wax Wizard) products are much easier to use and give a far superior finish, no cleaning black trim after waxing, no dust after waxing and a very helpful, knowledgeable man at the other end of the phone.

Dusty residue or no dusty residue?
Hard 1hr plus to do the car or easy 20 mins?
Polish paint or protect and shine?
Last 2-4 weeks or last 1-2 months?
£30 for 6 months supply or £50 for 1yr+ supply?
Good shine or awesome deep gloss?
No backup or first class 24/7 backup?
No money back guarantee or full money back guarantee?
AutoGlym or Wizard of Wax?

Its a no brainer - Wizard of Wax everytime

I use Autoglym religiously for 18 months until I 'discovered' WoW just over a year ago. I still have 3/4 bottle of Autoglym super resin polish left and a litre of Autoglym Shampoo that I haven't touched since trying WoW.

WW every time. Spent 2 hours cleaning the scoob yesterday evening and it was gleaming afterwards - this was after cleansing too, so it takes no time at all!

mjs - If you want to see the Wax Wizard products in use, used by the expert, come along to my place in Bedford before the Bedford track day (that is, if you are going), and Mark will be there doing up my car and demonstrating his wares to anybody who's interested.

Try out Turtle wax. It's the stuff in the red bottle with the red escort cossie on it.

Nothing will give as good protection and finish as this stuff.

Mossman, Yep! On the whole, Turdlew@x ain't the best there is, That's for sure!
However: They do a treatment called "Emerald Series - Advanced Liquid Wax" (in a green bottle no less! ) which has to quote the box it comes in "100% Pure Carnauba Blend"
That means very little to me, but the results and ease of use it gives are absolutely superb! £6.99 for a 16 FL OZ (1PT) 473ml bottle, with a sponge applicator.

Best stuff i've used to date, even better than Auto Glym's Extra gloss protection IMHO(super resin polish always goes on first though!).

Keeps my Lill Astra sparkling!!!

Ive just had all my cars Swizolled which is a new type of cleaner, they came to my house and did the whole treatment

Ive had the 22 Waz Wizarded before and used Autoglym before that, in all honesty I have to admit that Swizoll seemed to have the best results as a consumers point of view.

People talk about some Carnuba wax additive and Swizoll has loads of it.

To anyone out there I would reccomend you try Swizoll at least once and treat your car .

LOL at DT.........

Try mothers carnuba wax £12 a tin gives a "wet" look to the paint and what feels a like a protective coat,

I used to use autoglym, but i can say this gives a different type of finish, it is a glossing layer on top of the paint rather than polishing the paint to acheive a shine, this protects the paint and does not keep removing it which is what you are doing each time you polishit, if you do it enough then eventually you must get a nice grey looking car in a matt primer finish

I feel the mothers wax gives a better finish and more protection than any polish i have used.......... worth a try for £12 i don't feel you can go wrong.........

Got asked what i use by a large car manufacturer in bracknell the other week when i was picking my other half up they were that impressed.........

Not knocking what anyone else uses, just that i found this and i think it is great and wanted to pass it on as we all love nice clean shiny motors!!

Of course, you DO know WW Mark makes some of Switzol's waxes for them, don't you...?

Switzol isn't any different, just more expensive.

Harj,

There's a LOT the Swizol brochure doesn't say!! Trust me, WW is in deeper than you think!
Oh and by the way, if anyone wonders whether "mystery" wax is worth such a high price, i can categorically say it is.
But if i spend any more on wax, the wife is going to disown me (even more than usual)!

I've tried loads over the years and I've gotta say that Wax Wizard has been the best by far.

The results can be seen for yourselfs in Members Gallery, so easy to use with simple instructions and backup from Mark if you get stuck.

I've recommended it to my Brothers who collect Classic cars and they're gonna give it a bash.

O.M.
