Unhappy

After a long talk with the missus last night, we're going for a sensible car. She was totally against it, but we have to save some money!

I've just put in an order for a BMW 330 convertible sport and I've just 7 months left with my scoob.

A nice car the BMW, but sensible? Won't you lose enough on it in depreciation to rub out any running cost savings you might make? (Assuming you are buying it new)
Any new car depreciation is savage!

Can I congratulate you on convincing your wife that a BMW 330 Convertible is a sensible car! If I told my girlfriend I needed a sensible car we would probably end up with a mondeo or something similar!

Personally I would love to swap the scoob for a BMW 330 Convertible right now....

'tis a 33K car new. after a year it'll be worth more than 26K to a dealer.
My scoob's not worth more that a chewy toffee to a subaru dealer... after a year

And my missus wants me to have a nice car(she hate's bmws so I had to convince her I would be able to live with it).

As I said previously...

"'tis a 33K car new. after a year it'll be worth more than 26K to a dealer."

If I pay 26K for it and then sell it for more than 26K, I'll be saving some money... oh no, I'll make a little!! D'Oh!
