After many weeks of waiting, six to be precise, Subaru have now fitted my Air-Con system as provided by CoolAir (Although I still have one part missing - Subaru say this will be fitted at next service when it arrives from Japan and will cause no detriment to the system unless I go to the Sahara :-)
Anyway my question is, has anyone had this kit fitted and if so do they also get the sound like a small fan or static each time that the aircon cuts in and out, audible over the radio at 50mph?
I've taken this back to Subaru Maidstone and they say they have no system as a comparison, so cannot say whether the sound is correct or not.
I do not think the aircon system should make any percetible sound other than the click in and out of the pump, especially as none of the other cars I have owned or a friends MY00 have this noise.
Any thoughts here would be helpful.

It is expensive £995, that's the list price for Aircon from Subaru UK.
I would try and find the parts from a car that is being dismantled or used for rallying! :-)
