You'd think this info could be easily obtained........Nope, why make it easy.
Just been on the DVLA site which gives letter spacings and sizes but no plate size, it does give a BSI reference number and points you in their direction, so along I goes, had to register but its free (I hope), types in the reference and up pops "Specification for retroreflecting number plates" please pay me £26 if you actually want to look at this document.........erm sod that.
Soz HK I tried m8
If you find out let me know
Mark.

IF you have a standard reg, ie 7 charachters, then 10 inches by 3 inches will have you in bother, as the lettering is too small. Been there done that.
The key thing is you must be able to read it clearly from a suitable distance. With mine all i did was get them to make a standard plate with the new type of font and put them in the middle of the plate. Then when i got home, cut the ends off, shortened it by aoubt 3 inches.
However, i will be getting a sticker one when the FMIC arrives.
