Cool

OK chaps, who wants to put in with me for a group buy on Mudflaps from Sweden?
I have inquired with raceequip (via recommendation from SecretAgentMan and Meshwolf) for the babies that are on their machines.
These are big mudflaps especially designed for the Impreza and consists of a kit including, four mudflaps (front + rear) pre-punched with holes to fit, with clips, Washers and stainless screws for easy mounting to your car.
They come in Black, Blue, Red & Yellow.
The price of this kit will be approx. £75 if I can get 10 or more people interested! I can only assume that they will be posted to myself and then I would have to distribute among you (at a charge!), or you collect.
As I have already stated these babies are pretty big, but being polyurethane can be cut about as required.
For an example of these flaps, look in the members gallery under either Meshwolf or SecretAgentMan...
Email me either on-line or off.

Cheers Jacko.

One of our members is currently developing some purpose made Impreza mudflaps very similar to the STI ones that retail at about £400-00.

I have seen a set and they are the absolute dogs danglies, if i were you lot i`d hang on till he puts them on general sale, you wont be disapointed!

Paul, thanks for HIJACKING my thread
In all seriousness, when will these flaps be available and how much will they cost approx.? (have to evaluate whether it's worth hanging on)
They had better be as good quality as the Swedish ones, with bracket's, stainless screws, etc. and obviously cost less than £75 .
Anyway, assuming that this mystery supplier will take some time, there is nothing in this for me...I like the size of these babies and was thinking of getting myself some anyway. I just enquired via e-mail if they could do a deal on price and delivery on a bulk buy...and they can.
These Swedish flaps usually retail at £95 then add £15 shipping. I will probably do this anyway but if you like what you see, drop me a line.

Cheers, Jacko.

All i`m saying is that there are some flaps being released soon, kits will include stainless bolts and brackets etc. They will probably be more expensive, but the quality is truly superb. Its realy nothing to do with me so i will keep me gob shut, but i know where my moneys going.

The flaps that you are looking at do look very good, good price and quality, and would probably buy some if i didnt know otherwise!

Hijack over

Jacko,

I would like to put my name down for a set of these mudflaps. I would like a set of blue ones as my car is reddish blue like the one in the members gallery but my car is a 5 door. I have cash waiting so would like to arrange asap.

Walker is right in saying these flaps in development are superb. I should be getting a set placed on my P1 tomorrow.

The materials used are of a very high quality and the price will be somewhat reasonable after the 400 you have to pay for the official STI mudflaps.

Please keep checking the BBS for more news as and when the flaps become available.

Jase is very close on these now...watch this space

The member developing the mudflaps is not secret .

These mudflaps are of the highest quality and are very similar to the large STI mudflaps.

I will have a word with Jase and get him to post some more information on this thread so you can see what they are, and how much they are likely to cost, and colour options etc.

The mudflaps easily clear 15/16/17" wheels and we shall be testing with my 18s later this week.

Sorry for the delay....keep watching this space.

Regards

Ian.

Hi people...sorry to have kept you all waiting.

Right then...bad news first...cost will be around ?

The kit will include 4 flaps, 4 brackets, all fixings and instuctions.

The flaps are made from 3mm (Tarmac spec) Kaylan polyurethane as used by Ralliart, Prodrive, Ford etc. Available in virtually any colour (made to order).

Brackets are V.high quality stainless steel, guillotined and drilled. There are 5 fixing points on each bracket...so you wont be losing them or have them nicked

I'll try and get some photos posted of the flaps & brackets...on car & off...so you get a better idea of whats what and all that....

Cheers
jase.

Many thanks to Paul & Ian for their unusually nice comments..

Cool

hi guys
i have been watching this post for a while now. i am interested in the mud flaps as well. so

jacko
how much do you think these mudflaps will cost all together including P&P from sweden ?

Jase
i know yours will be probably better quality but can you drop your price for a large order ? from reading this post there seem to be at least 10 people interested if not more as a lot of people just seem to lurk with out posting on this BBS. i will always prefer to support a UK business if possible. starting with a big order like this will give you a lot of publicity in the scooby world

cheers

Jacko if you can put my name provisionally for a set

Gentleman,
I must admit, I would much prefer to buy British, however, at the right price!!!!!
I would also prefer not to get mixed up in p&p issues if I am to organise a group buy from Sweden.
I think the next step is for Jase to post a piccie of his flaps on here, so the consensus can judge for them selves.

I have no problem in organising a group but from Jase either assuming that this will get us a deal with a minimum of 10 people. £100 sounds a good starting point Jase??????

Cheers Jacko.
