Seriously thinking about it!

There must be an easy way for Jacko to organise the group buy, maybe each individual contacts the company referring to the scoobynet group buy, when ** (insert the appropriate number) people contact them they dispatch the orders separately at the reduced rate. [how are all the other buys organised?]

Gentleman, I have been collating names of interested parties in the Swedish Flaps. I will look into the post and packing of these, but I think for the discount deal they will have to come to one destination (i.e. ME!). This top pop pickers so far:

Jacko
HAPPY
andrew gartell
taz
NAF
adge
WUZ
Sam Elassar
GraemeF ?
Andy W ?
Andy Tang
Phil Chin
Mkhan

I dare say that there are more that are keeping an eye on this thread awaiting a final GO!

Jase,
If you are online, can I suggest you do me a group deal for the aforementioned above? £120 is a bit steep compared to the Swedish £75, especially as this does not include delivery. E-mail me off line if you want to haggle...

Cheers, Jacko

Sorry guys...been a tad busy!

I've had several e-mails enquiring about the flaps also so I'm pretty sure I'll be able to do them for £100 each (famous last words!) for quantities of 10 or more.

Been busy cross-checking costs for bulk purchasing of the materials... its not often you spend the best part of 800 quid on plastic!! The coloured flaps would need to be ordered in batches of 3... but I may be able to get around this depending on the total size of my order.

Hopefully by tomorrow I'll be able to confirm the exact cost.

I'll be at the Derby/Notts meet if anyone wants to have a look at the colours and materials... I'm working on the pics!

Cheers
jase.

Jase,
good to see you willing to drop costs if a group buy is involved.
The only issues are delivery charge's! and also, more importantly, what your flaps look like and fit like?
The guy's that are on me top 10 hit list are sold on the basis of the BIG Swedish Hum dingers. Borrow a Digi cam and take a few pot shot's and post on here. I am sure that the pic's will speak for themselves....and sales will take off.

Cheers, Jacko.

Currently waiting for fixings to arrive...should have been here by Tuesday

I currently have 6mm thick rubber flaps on my car as opposed to the 3mm polyurethane and I could supply these as an alternative...they are only available in black though but would cost only £60/£70 a set...an option?

Will have some photos to upload on Saturday that hopefully will explain everything...but they are a very similar in shape and size to the Swedish ones.

Just a thought but would anybody be interested in having logos printed or encapsulated on the flaps... company name/www.something...?

cheers
jase

Phill Chinn and Mkhan,
I have added you to the hit list.

Jase,
good idea about the rubber ones, but lets see the piccies early next week and decide.
Personally, I think I would also prefer the finished article, but I dare say there will be a longer wait??????? Keep up the good work though....good to see small enterprises especially in light of Britain's current economic climate.
I sure hope their as good you boys keep on about.....getting excited now BIG BRITISH HUM DINGER FLAPS!

Me too !!!!

I saw the samples last night and the material is perfect...with lots of colour options.

I'll be helping out with the photographic work and we'll be fitting another set of prototypes onto my P1.

There are currently no clearance problems on 15/16/17" wheels but we will test against 18s this weekend.

Watch this space.

Hi Folks,

we've finally got you some pictures of the mudflaps but the weather has turned a little bad in our neck of the woods [oh...and it got dark too ]

So... for your viewing pleasure.

rear mudflap

rear mudflap on car minus wheel

Front Mudflap B

We will be taking some more photographs tomorrow (in the day time) so you can see more of the car instead of just close-ups.

Ian,
pics are OK, but some lower shots from the rear and along the side would be better and as you say, in daylight.
At first glance they don't look to bad......
mmmmm not sure. The Swed ones do look bigger!
I'll reserve judgement until some better pics are avail.

Cheers, Jacko.

Don't worry...

Jase is busy taking pictures of the car in the daylight from all the right angles. We had trouble with rain and darkness yesterday because I was busy until late afternoon (ok...I was recovering from a massive hangover).

We should get the 'better' pictures for you later today.

I appreciate its difficult to judge the size of the flaps from the pictures above. The new pictures should make this easier.

Regards

Ian.

Hi Folks,

we've finally got you some good pictures in the daylight and more complete views of the car. At present we only have photographs of the black mudflaps but we have provided a picture of color swabs so you can see what other colours can be supplied.

So, for your viewing pleasure...

Colour Choices

Jase can provide the mudflaps slightly longer so they can be cut to your desired length.

Let us know what you think and we can get some numbers together.

We should have some other photographs pretty soon of a P1 wearing the same black flaps, and Paul Walkers lovely white V5 Type R wearing a very fetching blue (oo-er !!).
Regards

Ian & Jase.

Ian/Jase,
Good Final Pic's showing the mudflaps from most angles. To be honest, I prefer the fit of Jase's flaps but the length and rounded edges of the Swedish ones (I am so blommin fussy!)
Jase,
I have a few questions:........

1/ I did note that you can supply them longer, so perhaps this is the ideal and then each owner cuts to his/her desired shape....is this poss????

2a/ I have also noticed some guy's on here already posting that they want some. If people start replying individually will you still give us the price promise of £100 inc. Postage????????

2b/ Or would you prefer a single cheque plus order list (colours and where to send)??????

3/ Can you begin delivery straight away, or as I suspect, do you need deposits first so that you can order materials?????????

For those who are not to sure still, check out the links below for the Swedish comparisons. Assuming Jase answers yes to all my questions, my money is going with him!

Cool

I can certainly vouch for the quality of these flaps.

As Ian has already mentioned, i`m waiting for Jase to receive the material for some blue ones to go on my white Type R I think that they will look superb.

When we conmpared the sides of Jases car and my wifes P1 last Sunday(i know what you mean about hangovers Ian) you really tell the sort of protection the flaps give to the side of the car. Cheryls was covered in mud spray up the side of the car, where Jase`s wasn`t

Be patient folks, Jase has spent a lot of money and time on the development of these flaps, and as they say `all good things come to those who wait` or something like that

Regards

Paul

To be honest I prefer the look of the Swedish ones..
What with them being more rounded at the corners and that
I presume it would be easy enough to shape them myself though ??
Would it ?
