The voices in my head say do it, do it.....
The dealer in Carlisle is doing a deal, £1000 deposit and 23 x £275 for a 2 year, 20,000 mile deal. Sounds good to me for a WRX.
They also suggested that changing the exhaust (£350) and chipping it (£500) is a good idea, and doesn't affect the warranty (assuming any work is done by them). The test car had the exhaust fitted, and it seemed a little faster than a standard WRX. And sounded rather nicer and not too loud. The downside seemed to be weaker torque up to about 3,500rpm.
Anyone any idea what the chip does, and is it worth fitting?
Colin.

I'd stay well away from a "chipped" car but thats just me, expensive these engines to replace and rebuild. Obviously depends what chip but one which fools the ecu into giving more boost are not a good idea IMHO.
