rear bumper damage
#1
i am now the owner of a 2-3 inch split in my my00 rear bumper with a slight power bulge above it(long story).booked it into a bodyshop but will cost £225+vat for repair to plastic & spray.i do feel this is a bit steep or is this about norm for this job? how much is a replacement bumper & are there any specialist versions on the market as i feel another excuse for a mod coming.

DaveK,
Is it actually splt right through the bumper? not just a deep scratch?
I paid about the same (inc. VAT BTW) to respray my front bumper and bonnet as well as repairing a 6 inch deep scratch on the dumper.

Davek,
An STi 7 rear bumper is £125 inc VAT and painting from a decent spray shop is likely to cost around £200. I don't know how this compares to an MY00, but I would imagine it's in the same ball park.
I know this because the dosey **** of a neighbour damaged mine @ 3 weeks old and am about to book the car in for a replacement
