Simon,
How about shipping it as is, then, if/when you find the rest of the archives you can include it on the next installment?
Echo Carl: Just get it out now!! (ooh err!! ).
Should I order Scoobynews CD 2 now to save time..?

In case anyone says anything, I was typing my reply at the same time as Ian.

LOL
I have to say, this has indeed put me off producing another one.
Everything seemed so straight forward in the begining, but almost every single party involved has let us down so badly, that it has become a huge challenge.
I could have easily released it in a sub-standard form, but I refuse to.
Thanks for your support guys, I'll get it all wrapped up and shipped out as soon as pos.
All the best

Simon,
I can imagine it's a bit frustrating when you are trying to create a "perfect" product if a big chunk is mising through no fault of your own.
However, I for one don't mind and I'm sure it'll still be well worth the money.
Cheers
Rich

Hi All
One of the delays has been caused by a problem we've been trying to sort out for some time now.
The archive section of the CD should contain every post from the general and technical forums from the very first post. Unfortunately there has been a ****-up here, and we did not receive the entire archives when taking over scoobynet a year ago.
Phil Daws (the previous owner of scoobynet) has searched high and low for the archives but cannot find them.
It looks like we've lost around 9 months or so from the start of scoobynet, but the rest is intact.
We will email everyone who has already pre-ordered to see if this is acceptable, or if they would rather cancel, and will change the description on the shop accordingly.
I am very embarrased about this, and of course also about the delays, which this has been a part of.
My apologies.
All the best

si, I dont think anyone is seriously going to mind.
besides, I would guess that the most recent archives are more important as it shows the development of the technical schools of thought.
We have more knowledge now than we did then!

What period are we talking about (i.e. when did Scoobynet start)?
Simon, I think you should spend less time arsing around on world record attempts and rally-x days and concentrate on <I>getting the Scoobynet CD out</I>

I was one of the *very* first, think I joined on day Zero - notice the Oct 98 - just to your left
Had been wondering what happened, and was about to email the shop but you've just beaten me to. It would be very nice to see those first posts for oldtimes sake, but if it can't be managed just now, perhaps bring it out as an addendum to the buyers of the first CD? <Cheeky>Or else could we get a discount. </Cheeky>
Please don't let this deter you from producing more Scoobynet items.

Simon,
Thinking about it you should adopt the computer game publishers attitude to the scoobynet CD.
Release the full blown CD, and then release an 'expansion pack' for the same price as the original.
Ideally the multiplayer will be primitive and the expansion CD will have tons of new levels(info) you could otherwise have found on the internet
