So at last the tabloid press have jumped on the Speed Camera bandwagon.
Over the last two days they have been running two page spreads on speed cameras.
I just wondered if anyone had read them and what the views were.
Personally I think not to bad, but I wish they would focus a little less on the "it's not fair the government are just using them to raise revenue" and concentrate more on the "it's not fair because they don't discriminate between safe and unsafe" speeding........
For this read tailgating at 30, 30 in the fog, 30 when schools are out and all the other things us sensible people on here spout on about.

Yeah, but as its the Scum, they are going to focus on the money aspect of it cos thats what most of their readership will focus on. I freely admit to hating the sun and all its affiliates. I would happily petrol bomb the place if I thought I could get away with it (lets face it, if I drove away at 30, I probably would ) but I can only say well done for getting this situation the publicity it needs

I don't think they've done a bad job, but then I could be accused of being biased.
Arguing about 'safe speeding' is self defeating. They can hardly run an article which could be interpreted as encouraging speeding, as it would destroy their argument completely.
However, there should be more about their failure to cover black-spots, in favour of the easy money revenue areas.
