Just in case anyone was curious, as I was, they're quick but not that quick.
Boring straight line dual carriage way stuff from about 20mph. Had to back off a little once but 4th gear pulled away nicely. I would still like one though
Interestingly, this S2000 variant would be whipping most of us...

Did it have the hood down? if so then the driver had probably been deafened by your initial acceleration
Was that the punishment or did you do something else you aren't telling us?

That link to the S2000R is a hoax!!!
It would be a very nice car - inline-6 with 3000cc.
My S2000 owning mate was salivating over it, until we got a bit
suspicious about the balsa wood construction and the fact that
the inline-4 is a very tight fit.....

4 in line is very tight? I don't think so. There is bags of room to get a straight 6 in. However, rumours have been rife about this for ages but it is unlikley to happen since it would outperform the flagship NSX.
From 20mph the S2000 would be unlikely to compete with a Scooby unless its on cam (about 6000). With 247bhp its no slouch and when vtec cuts in it may well be as quick.
How do I know? Cos Ive got one having had a standard UK turbo before.

What do these go for second hand at the mo? Can't afford one for a while but I think they are class. Last issue of Banzai had some nitrous monsters!
I nearly went for an Integra Type R, but saw the light and got a 99 Scoob
