What do you call us?

What do you call scoobynetters to non-scoobynet peps?
The amount of times I have been speaking with someone at work or a mate and they say something for example like I am thinking of getting an STi Type R.... to which my reply would like to be oh right yeah very nice car I know a few people with one..
but infact I don't really know a few people with them, but I do sort of.... ?!
So I say that I know someone with one and again I don't really..
And then they ask who I know that has one?! errrmmmm....
Or do you just come out with "A guy on an internet discussion forum has one"?
To a non-internet / scoobynet person it must sound well nerdy!

To none net type folk (like me dad) I say the Subaru Club, and to netty people I say Scoobynet.
Of course they then always ask "How come you drive an MR2"

Try explaining to work mates that you run a internet gaming clan.
Also when you tell people that you met up with a m8 from the internet they look at you as though your mad to meet people off the internet.

Cos I'm a sad wannabe and unlike karts I don't dump it in the undergrowth or deliberately drive it into me m8s.

Yep, afraid I have to label my bbs-met friends as 'scooby nerds' to my non-scooby friends. Still, you get off lightly - at least you're not my (w)banker 'friends' - ie work collegues LOL

Then my friend Paul bought one (posts here occasionally as Dales) and was saying in the pub that he had found a website - bbs.scoobynet.co.uk.
So we came home from the pub drunk, and he showed me what it was all about - I registered in my p1ssed state, and chose the username cos of the Dreamweaver packaging that was sitting next to my PC
So there you go

awwwwwww...did you really?
What a lovely story
I have driven the length of the country to meet people Ive only "known" from the internet through Counter Strike...but I had spoken to them properly, not just through text, and had "known" them for about 2 years. And again at Elvington - met Dreamweaver, met Puff the magic wagon, met P20SPD and Ive met others in the last few weeks through one thing and another.
Im not a kiddy, I dont have to worry about perverts targetting me (more's the pity :P), and I hope Im sensible enough to spot something odd. So why worry about meeting people? I have very few if any reservations about it at all. But maybe thats just me

Just usually say "one of the Scoobynetters..." most people who know me know what I'm going on about but some time's it's followed by
"it's like this discussion forum where people talk about scooby's" ...."what do you talk about"...."oh you know, wheels, brakes, arrange meets stuff like that..." ..."you're sad aren't you"...."yeah "
