As a guide to imports (rough)

11-13 will buy you an STi4
13-15 will buy you an STi5
15-16 will buy you an STi6

Go for an import - there are tonnes of places that can service them & insurance isn't much difference
All the above will do 0-60 in about 5 secs & 150plus mph.
I am not in tune with UK prices but if you do buy UK then I would suggest an RB5 - probably the best of the classic shape UK cars (exluding a 22B) plus they hold value & are rarer than other UK scoobies.

Ro.

[Edited to say flatlander has a nice RB5 up for grabs in the For Sale section]

Hi People, i have fallen in love with the Imprezas after driving a friends, who is crazy about them and have done loads of modifications to his. i just need to find out. what i should really get (cant afford a new one)and what price range i should be thinking of to start off with, because i know this would get expensive and addictive. Also were could i go for a good deal.

The For Sale section on here isn't a bad place to start.
Some nice cars that've generally been looked after by enthusiasts.
