Silver is roughly the same colour as primer, so the stone chips don't show
However, the people who open their car doors into you have never got silver cars, so you always end up with dark paint scrapes down the sides

That's right, from prior experience I can
say that silver as well as white stand up to
daily stone bombardment , white being a solid
colour (non metallic) is a bit easier to touch up .
I have also heard that red scooby's can be prone to colour fading of the non metal painted parts ,but I guess that would happen
more often in a hot and sunny climate like
what we have around here.
IMHO go with white

I've had no problems with stone chips on my RB5. Then again I did have the paint protected from new by my dealer (FOC ) - best finish I've had on a car.

DBM, Sonic Blue, WR Blue, had all and all look kak after a couple of thousand miles..
Bugzilla is going in for a respray, shes needs her bonnet, front bumper, front side panels and front doors sprayed... after only 4.5K miles
But they are particularly great cars to drive.

My MY97 is not sonic blue, it is referred to as red/blue (has like a purple tint in it?) After 35K there is not a scratch on it or a stone chip to be seen (tempting Fate) - will post pics when my digi cam is returned!! . Does anyone know what colour this is called?

Oh and Black is even worst in this humid heat. I am sweating buckets.
*Memo to the next owner* Sorry about the sweat smell
Spent ages cleaning it over the weekend and polished it with Autoglym super stuff.
Couldn't belive the shine

Mines Reddish Blue and the front looks like its been machine gunned.
Reckon it might be worse because of the 3-piece lip spoiler.
Oh... and the fact I lurve blatting down country lanes
