Gold wheels.

I need this colour as a matter of urgency. Anyone help, please?

I got hold of some "Nissan Gold" from Halfords - code 069, and it too dark.

Can anyone assist?

Thanks in advance.

Burr,

Are you looking for a touch-up (ooeerr ) or for a full spraying job as I've got the Nexa Autocolour (used to be ICI) paint codes for the older gold (PD Safari wheel colour?) and the newer wrc gold (modern wheels?) somewhere if this helps.

Only probs is that it's two pack / low bake oven stuff so would need to be done professionally and when I priced up the paint / hardner / topcoat / thinners etc I managed to haggle it down to about 120 quid a for litre's worth - eek

Seems like the paint is good stuff but pricey and you've to hunt round to find somebody to mix it up for you.

Let me know if this is any use and I'll try to dig the codes out before it's too much past my bedtime

erm - the codes would be cool. Its a touch-up job due to a slight coming-together with a kerb.

I wasn't driving, and I'll say no more

and as far as how old the wheels are...... I don't know I got them second hand, but they fit over my 4-pots if that's any use?

One of the "ICI" codes is P422-GEG2B and I think this is paint code 58 Saffron Yellow (gold), i.e. the older colour. The ICI website isn't playing ball so I'll keep loking for the other one...

Found it

modern WRC gold = P422-1RBRB @ £31 / 0.5 litre
lacquer @ £30 / litre
hardener @ £41 / litre
thinners @ £15 / litre

-15% comes to approx £120 when I checked up nearly 4 months ago

This code is described as "Subaru Rally Gold M," year 01 onwards for wheels. Aquabase P965-1RBRB is needed as the top coat (I think but will stand corrected by an expert)

The other code (P422-GEG2B) is described as "Subaru WRX Gold M," year 96 onwards for wheels.

Are you still following this?

Do these paint codes apply to UK300 OZ wheels? I have been trying to get paint codes and someone to do the work for ages. Not as easy as it should be! Prodrive recommended Wicked Wheels but I played phone tag with the guy there for a week and the local guy was supposed to call me but hasnt? The even harder part than getting paint/codes is apparently getting the OZ decal on there as this is silk screened on? This gets VERY frustrating when all you want is a simple job at a reasonable price? Subaru should sort this out, it is their responsibility.
