Hi all

I had a run in with the law today I was clocked overtaking at 90mph in a 60 zone. I have tried to do a search on this topic but it isnt working.

I have already got 6 points on my license and have been told that i will have to appear in court, what do you guys think will happen?

Alas I think a ban is very probable. Seeing as you have 6 points already it will probably be a 6 month ban too If you NEED your car for your job and losing your license will mean undue hardship then you may be able to get away without the ban.

I know a guy who drives disabled children around in a minibus at weekends and he's driving with something like 17 points on his license and no ban. His argument is, is that ban me and all the poor disabled children will suffer.

There is a guy who comes highly recommended called andreas sergias(something like that). He's not cheap but is supposed to be one the best motoring law solicitors out there.

Sorry it's not better news.

?????? if you over took a car at 90mph in a 60 zone!
what speed was the car you over took doing to make you do 30mph over the speed limit?
was that car speeding too??
did they stop them as well?

It was on a short straight stretch, i was overtaking 2 cars.
My job does not require the need for a car.
I was told by the policeman that i would get possibly 4-5 points, is this possible? or was he just lying to me to get my hopes up?

PS. what affect would a 6 month ban have upon my insurance?what sort of increase should i be expecting?
