Ways to improve economy

Exceeded 25mpg for the first time today using the car for work.
The solution, go buy 'Chilled Ibiza'. It really is great to drive to, in fact great all round.
I will have to thrash the car harder this weekend to keep the average in the teens!

John,
You must get yourself a new WRX. You cannot play anything loud because the standard Fisher Price stereo and speakers simply cannot cope. Also, any kind of acceleration, braking, corner or slight bump in the road results in temporary power feed loss to the stereo and you think your CD is jumping.
Thinking about it, I might get this sorted at the dealer.

If you like music Stevie you must junk the standard kit. I have aftermarket ICE (not very expensive though) and it goes so loud so clearly that it wouldn't matter what noise the engine or exhaust made 500WRMS is difficult to smother - if you give it enough juice you can red line in 3rd and only hear/feel the music! I have to watch I don't bounce off the rev limiter, but it is quite obvious when that happens. And some of these recent albums seem to contrive to make my sub go completely ape, and then there is that +6dB bass boost thingie - wonder what that does
