Very quick estate indeed

Granted, I've got an UK MY95 5dr (with Sti BB & ITG panel) pushing out 220BHp without the mods, but this was quick!!!!

Had a damn good play too - good larf!!

We both overtook a slower car on a dual carriageway. Me first, so I booted it.......and he kept up. I slowed at 95mph (crippling fear of doing 100, so I never do it!! )

He then went past (rather quickly!) I caught up with him after some more traffic just before I turned off. I flashed (my lights ) and waved. He waved back.

Good larf!!!

What'sthe spec of this mota - it was a Mitsubishi Legant (VR4) on a 'P' plate..... what's the BHP etc?

i remember seeing the figure of 250hp somewhere so no wonder it was quick

 

The police in NIreland have four VR4 estates,twin turbo,Blitz/HKS exhaust.18" wheels,private plates,jap imports with black glass oh yes cameras all round!!and they are quick.Passed a mate of mine in a cossie and the 'aftershock' nearly put him off the road!!!!

 

If it was a Mitsubishi Legnum VR-4 (and from what you say I suspect it was), it has a 2.5 litre quad-cam 24v V6 with twin-turbos and a front-mounted intercooler. 276 bhp, 268 lbsft torque. No slouch.

 

Thought they were called a Galant VR4

 

Saloons are Galants, estates are Legnums.

 

It was probably called a 'Legnum'...... thought it said Legant!

Imported too - fog light/blacked-out rear windows etc.....
