Zorsts and Subaru Warranty
#1
Hi All,
My my97 has a year extended warranty on it, would that be voided by a performance exhaust ? one of the Sub mechanics said it wouldn't aslong as it didn't remove the front cat....Any comments ?

Depends very much on your dealer and what goes wrong. If the failure is totally unrelated - like say an electric window fault, then you should have no problem.
Tricky, though, if you have an engine or turbo problem. I did some investigation on this when I had my Scooby, and basically it comes down to how much the dealer values your business. Sadly, dealers that are *ahem* flexible, shall we say, cannot go out of their way to advertise this fact, for fear of Subaru/IM coming down on them like a tonne of the proverbial....

I think NBW has it about right, you need to ask your dealer to see his reaction.
I had warranty work done (scratched windows) and had full de-cat, FMIC and induction mods...obviously no connection with scratches!
I wouldnt think that zorst would be too much of a drama to change back to standard if a problem did develop.

Moles Dad,
How did you get you windows done under the warranty, I was told they were not covered, all 4 of mine have scratches down them.
