I guess the best way is M1, A50, M6.
Any ideas how what time I should leave? I need to be their for a 9.30 start. Its about 120 miles.

I'd avoid M6 north of me in the morning. Roadworks with SPECS in them J18 or J19 (can't remember which from Saturday morning).
Do A50, then A500 to Nantwich (which has a by-pass), then A51.
A500 through Stoke get's busy from 8am each morning, although to make 9.30, you should be through here by then.
