Question

I'm after some idea of the running costs i'm likely to incur with an MY99 Turbo. So this includes standard servicing at dealer and other misc things that people find go wrong. Had company car for 3 years and not had to think about this sort of thing. Can you folks who own one give me your estimates of annual running cost ?

Doing 3000 miles a month in a 99MY after running a yr 2000 Diesel Audi - what do you want to know ? - Dealer prices:-

Don't know your mileage, but both the 45k service (cambelt) and 60k (major - everything except cambelt) cost £400 ish.

Brakes ok ? £300 ish front discs and pads fitted
Clutch ok ? £700+ fitted (but may last to high miles - depends)
Aircon ok ? £100 for a recharge (may be getting tired)
Tyres £80 ish (swap mine front to back every 6k ish)

I'll be doing 12000ish miles per year. I read comments on other threads about the high cost of running a scoob. Wondering if this is largely the cost of insurance or whether there are other things that go wrong / stuff i haven't thought of.
Are you going to extend your warranty when the 3 years are up ? I currently have a MY99 as a co car and thinking of buying it in Oct. 45000 miles. Will sell to me for £10k. If do will need to decide whether to extend warranty.

As you have drove the car as a co car you know where it's been £10000 bargain
