I've noticed that since discovering Scoobynet, my work productivity has plummetted through the floor, down another 3 levels, into the basement, through the earths crust and into the boling hot lava. Has this affected anyone to the point where they've been fired/had a severe warning/b0llocking?
Just wondering....

I've had a verbal warning for e-mail abuse when I was sorting out a stereo I sold to POC off this board. Told I was abusing the works e-mail..............get this then. Not 2 minutes after giving me the bollocking he sent me two "funny" e-mails! Now that is taking the pis5

Cool

I have had a verbal warning about it.

Stuff em, it is who you are and whether they like you as to whether you can get away with it.

Certain people get told off, others have their useage deliberately ignored

I had the same case as STI wanna Subaru, I sent a couple of emails confirming a sale, got a bollocking and then had a couple of funny emails off the bollocker

Double standards

Oh well, only three more months to go with them

Just thought, if they had been fired for using Scoobynet, they wouldn't be on it now i'd wager, a tad bitter probably.....

I do get a bit of stick from my boss, but I keep telling him, where else could you have such an abundance of informative people on any subject, that will come back with the info you require quickly etc....that normally suffices.
I mean lets face it, you could gain answers to any question through this board I reckonwell nearly every question, which car is better again a scoob or an evo??

shunty (off sick @ the moment, so won't stay too long...bye)

I was one of about 15% of my department who was made redundant in March this year. I'm sure my use of the Evo forum (and this one occasionally) had something to do with me being picked, so when I start my new job I shall probably avoid all forums. At least for a while, until I run the place

Fortunately my employer gave everyone the same redundancy package, so I was quite happy to go along with people who'd not done anything wrong...

Shunty, you have my sympathy mate. If Craig was my boss then I think I'd be tempted to be on the sick all the time. Probably still get more work done than him as well!

Oi Burt, did you buy that tarty plate after?

My colleague is quite tolerant. It's handy for the Computer forum, I've asked a few work-related questions on there and had quicker answers than from our IT dept!

It's a running joke in my office that I spend more time reading Scoobynet than doing work! Luckily my boss is always surfing other sites so doesn't complain! And I've answered some of his car questions by posting them on here!

I certainly think it contributed to me leaving my last place. Daft thing is, I wasn't really on here that much at work, maybe an hour a day at lunchtime. When I was unemployed for 3 months my post count went from 80 to it's current level. Started a new job about a week and a half ago and have been on Scoobynet once a work to sort selling something. Have to wait till I get home now.

Talking

As if people didn't think that reporting threads was enough for us mods to take action, I get a couple of phone calls advising me of a couple of issues - trouble is I was at work at the time.

I duly got a warning about using my mobile at work (well Scoobynet is work - well kinda ) and handed my notice in the very same night.
