hi peeps,

I'm just about to swap my screwed 93WRX ecu with a nice shiney z4 ecu. Will I need to reset the z4 after installation?

I know that the ecu setting will be stored somewhere (engine management chip, maybe) so if I put in a new one, will it take the old settings. Does this make sence?

I can reset it just by connecting the ?blue? and ?green? connectors under the steering column right?

cheers,

If the Z4 has been out of a car for sometime it will have been reset anyway, as discoinnecting the battery for a few hours is one method of resetting.

That implies that the settings are stored in the ECU. Cool. Cheers, I'll see what happens later...
