The UK dealer network refuse to sell me a service book in English as my car was originally supplied in Holland. Is this not breaking some new EU law ???
I know some of you may consider this a case of you cant have your cake and eat it etc etc !!!!

Thanks
J.

I don't know for sure but I should imagine you're right in that it's against the law but you'll probably have to take IM to court to get satisfaction. Presumably you do have the Dutch one though right?

Its to do with the warranty, so you cant have a uk service book as IM's warranty is different than that of the Dutch equivalent

Actually that's not technically correct but that's another IM battle for another day....

J,
the service book is specific to the car - i.e. it has the
chassis number in it, which is why you can't get a UK one
The user's manual is a different matter, and can be bought for
£6/7

Looks like a letter to the MD of International Motors is needed then, our European VW came with everything in English !

Thanks

Your dutch dealer is the one who could not supply you with an English book for the car you bought off him - why not write to him. I for one am glad it is not easy to get hold of service books as there are already lots of Jap imports with fake identities.
