Thumbs up

Finally got time to clean the crank and cam sensors this week end as advised by JGM2 here.

Took about 15 minutes to do both. The cam sensore was not too bad, just a little dirt on the sensor. But the crank sensor was filthy. Gave it a good clean and put them both back. Since then the car has not failed to start, even when hot.

Thanks for the tip as it could have saved me about £80 and a days inconvenience.

Wink

No problem Nimbus,

I was purely passing on what had been suggested to me on Scoobynet and as I did it myself I knew it was easy.

Glad it solved the problem.

Sorry for my delay in reply I have moved office and therefore on here less at the moment

No worries. Just glad you got my thanks.

The BIG TEST today. Going to fill up with petrol. Lat time I did this it took 1/2 hour before the car would start again . Hoping not to get stuck this time

Cheer again.
