Too many people are brain washed by impreza's.
I'm not knocking the car, it just seems to me that it's imprezas or nothing.
No one pays attention to legacys, until it's too late.
IMHO, street sleeping at its best.

out of interest; what do you consider as + points OVER an impreza?
(not looking for a slanging match, just want to know your POV)
How about insurance?? Seeing as its an import is it a headache wrt servicing??
... and I bet she's thirsty with twin turbos... (ooh lummy gforce

Unfortunately i don't have the a b4, instead a '98 bg5 model.
Plus points over an impreza:
less crasher ride (wheel base longer)
greater interior space, wagon version huge boot in comparison
it blends in on the road, i.e. impreza, hey race me!
Mine and the b4 are all jap spec motors, so all the toys.
As for ins, shop around, it varys greatly being jap. But probably cost you no more than an impreza
Servicing is never a problem if you know where to take it. Previous owner to me had full scooby dealer servicing on it, and plenty of places do parts for japs now.
Fuel economy on par..... ish, 1st turbo works from 2k-3.5k, 2nd from 4k up. Lay of the 2nd and it's reasonable.

well, bigger interior, real rear pews, smooth ride (but it still goes round bends very quickly indeed).
jeckyl and hyde (sp) engine is quite nice - torquey and quiet from quite low down the rev range - mental up top. Once you get used to the sequential system the torque valley at change over is not really an issue.
rumours are circulating that the B4 is UK bound...

Couple of years ago there was strong (dealer-supported) rumour that Subaru were trying to fettle the twin-turbo Legacy to meet European Emissions standards. The fact that they still have to be imports tells its own tale.....
