Question

I am after some paint protection film, something like armourfend, I think 3M do it but only in the US. I can get a kit but a) its expensive and b) I need to do a few cars of different flavours so I want a roll and cut it to size myself. Any ideas where I can get some that doesnt damage the paint work, stop chips and cheap in the UK ?

Better than Armourfend and you won't believe the price!
Tell him Mark with the Exige/Impreza told you.

Blutes,

Do you know of a company that you can buy those "bra" things in the UK as I might be interested?

Thanks
Gareth.

Had my car done with supaguard when I got it from the dealer - seems pretty good.

That was a full package - interior, exterior, free koy fob loss cover and window etching. Must be able to buy it seperately.

An alternative to email if you are located in the UK is to call 08705 360036 for questions you may have about our products, services, or technologies. Our Customer Information service answers calls from 8.15am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Also I think that this company does a automotive protective tape.

Gareth,

Those "bra things" are only available in the USA and Australia. A friend of mine has a relative who is based at RAF Alconbury in Norfolk (US Air force base) and he got me mine secondhand from a guy there. Sorry.....Blutes

automotive transit tape
Isn't this the white stuff I see all over the bonnets/roofs/boots of cars on transporters? BTW neither of your links seem to take you to a specific PDF file, just a general bit of the 3M site.

I've posted this about 8 squillion times before but nobody ever seems to notice it: http://www.invincashield.co.uk/

This guy uses 3M film as per Armourfend. Whole front of an Impreza is just under £100 ish. He's only just done the 99/00 turbo bumper - I've got the first set. It comes in loads of bits (rather than the one big bit as per Armourfend) so you can replace individual bits if ever required.

Very cheap and very helpful.

If you look back at my first post I said, I did the research a year ago. It is possible that the URL's have changed!

But to save others the time and hard work of searching here is some more url's including spray on transparent stone guard!

http://multimedia.mmm.com/mws/mediaw...nnn9MlZjNNNN4-

http://multimedia.mmm.com/mws/mediaw...hhhXKSTdHHHH2-

The automotive tapes I listed where translucent, but I add this was researched by me over a year ago and so may of changed or been deleted or even superceeded.

Okay guys cards on the table , I am trying to put an airfield day on but I dont want to have the car resprayed after . The tarmac is old so I just want to protect the sides incase of loose chippings. No point in protecting front as I wont be following anyone as the strip isnt that big, one car at a time jobby. The reason I want a roll is that the cars I have lined up are not all imprezas. I dont intend leaving the film on after the day so I want to put it on and take it off after. Just want to do the wheel arches, sills, bottom off door and sides of rear bumper. So a kit is no good to me really. It doenst have to look good as it will come off when I come home.

Thanks to all for the links and advice we are following up a few leads.

cheers

Boom

I'd be interested for exactly the same reason - I'm taking part in a trackfield day and want some removable protection as well.
