In an attempt to be serious, SSS - you can pick up a brand new import 2.0GX for that sort of money if you look around www.keyringcars.co.uk I think.
Would definitely buy a Turbo if it was me but insurance etc is substantially more.

Hi there everyone!
Im going to be buying my first scoob!
what model should i go for??
i have a peugeot 206 at the mo but i want something with a litle more power!
ill have about 12500 to spend so should i get a sport or a turbo?
and what do i look for? im going down to donno on sunday, will there be any cars for sale down there and is there anyone who can give it a going over for me as i dont want to get ripped off!
im 25 and have full no claims so insurance should be no probs!
if someone can spare some time to have a look for me id be more than gratefull.

Have a look in the for sale section. You can get a good UK Turbo for that money, MY99 or maybe a MY00. Just be aware of the running costs. Insurance will be a fair bit more than your 206 as well. I'm 25 5 year NCB and I pay £930 for a MY99 Uk turbo with a couple of mods.

Don't laugh, but I have been checking out the proven used cars section on the www.subaru.co.uk site. If you do a national search you will get enough results to see just about everything going, from 1.6GL's through to P1's
As a newbie lookin for my first scoob I have learnt a fair bit about what models come with what spec and at least I know what over the odds means too

for $12.5k you really should be looking at a turbo assuming you can stump up for the insurance and running costs. you can probably get a 2.5 -> 3 year old model for that (SOB, as that is all mine is worth), should be in good nick, with FSSH, maybe even some mods.
I'm sure you'll get plenty of advice at Donno, it should be a great day and fingers crossed it stays dry so I can try out my slicks

im going to take up fishing! its seems the thing to do! im even getting fecking pictures of rod on ere!
so what do i have to do? put a kipper in my knickers so we smell the same and wait for them to come?
i reckon that that john felstead sounds like a mean machine!
i bet hes tall with thick hair and biceps!?
