Managed to get 330 miles out of a full tank in MY00 Turbo - all motorway driving though, rarely on boost.
Forgot to say, tank was full of Optimax.

MY01 WRX wagon
Got 308 miles before warning light flashed. Took 52 litres(11½ gals in old money) to fill it. Just shy of 27 mpg. Lots of m'way though.

Autoroute to France (230 miles) @ a steady 85mph (with ocaisional hard acceleration like @ peage or aires) + a further 40 miles of N routes, using SUL, with a full load & aircon - 28 mpg
We weren't in a hurry & I was trying to keep at the same speed without too much slowing down, accelerating & when accelerating whilst cruisin', using the boost guage to make sure that it didn't boost!
So imagine if that had been a) cooler b) no aircon (not always related to a) ) & c) just me! 30+???
On the way back, 220 miles @ steady 110, again fully laden on SUL meant 20mpg

400 mile drive home after picking up the Scoob, averaged 30MPG driving sedately (don't know the roads/cameras so stuck to the speed limit). Not bad for a 250 BHP motor.

Most of my driving is motorway and I regularly get 300miles to a tank, sitting at 3,000rpm or less....
Although drive it hard and around town and I have had 220miles and slightly less on occasions. Mixed driving tends to be about 280miles..
I have had 320miles but that was with Miss Daisy on board.
MY96 UK Wagon on Optimax.
The earlier cars with the TD05 like mine which spins up later are easier to get more MPG out of as you can keep the revs lower and use less fuel (boring drive compared to on boost mind)...
So if you have a VF turbo what more of an excuse do you need to get a Hybrid turbo?

I just worked out that I got 27mpg twatting it (MY02) from Chipping Norton to Stansted on Sat - 'racing' my mate in his 320ci Bimmer. Better than I thought, though he was still shocked when I had to fill up again!

HELLOM8,
Interesting that you get less MPG on super.
Mine is the opposite.. I got more MPG on Super over normal enough to warrent the extra pennies and then the same again for using Optimax...
