Hi all,
As the heading suggests, we are after people to enter the show and shine competition on Sunday.
We have renamed the competition from "Concours" to Show and Shine", due to the fact that the "concours" bit seemed to scare the hell out of everyone, especially me!!! (For those that know me)
None of this wheels off and axle stands milarky.
Basically all that is required is a nice clean car on the day (But not to be too discriminating, dirty cars are allowed as well, if you have no shame)
That way it will be a little more enjoyable for everyone, and give those that have never done this kind of thing before the opportunity to do so. Basically a bit of a laugh
There are 3 Trophies up for grabs, 1st, 2nd 3rd and there may also be some other goodies as well.
If interested please post below, so we can keep an eye on the numbers. We have capped the total number of cars to enter to 50.
When you arrive at Donington, you may be asked if you want to enter as well, just incase you change your mind.
I shall be trying to marshall the event on the day, as well as entering my own car.
Don't worry peeps, I won't judge my own car, honest

Steve - Only if you want to win the wooden spoon award
Are you going or is the car away on holiday (wink, wink)
John - I spoke to JohnB (Social Secetary) this evening and we recon we will start judging at about 1400hrs, (May be later or earlier) Sorry no definate answer as yet, but will try.
This will hopefully allow track cars who are also interested in the show and shine, time to belt round the track early morning and then wash the car for the judging in the afternoon.
Remember this is no longer a "Concours" event, it's a show and shine event.
Hope this helps.

I seem to have replied to all the other topics where this thread is in, so once again Muddy, I am up for this, so long as I can get all the little dents out that un-appreciative ***** put in with their doors!!! aahhhhhhhhhh
The rest of the car looks OK though.

It looks like it's going to be judged at 1pm. (Thanks John, thought everyone was going to gang up on me there)
As I will be initially sorting the cars out in the morning, I would appreciate it if you could get there early, so we don't have cars joining in every 2 minutes. (This will probably not affect the people who are going on track, you can join as soon as your finished)
Seeing that we have capped the entries to 50, I wouldn't want any of you to miss out.
If you are going on track, please see me as soon as you arrive so I can allocate a space for you. Don't want to have 50 cars and then find there are 10 cars that were on track that wanted to enter.
Hopefully when you arrive at Donno you should be asked if your entering the Show and Shine Comp. if your not asked, tell them and they will give you a judging form to fill in.
You then bring this form to me please.
For those that are concerned about new cars that are entering, the Judging sheet that I have devised takes age and mileage into consideration.
See you all there.

Ideally be there for 9:30am.
If not like let me know what time your expecting to get there, then at least I can make a list up of those I'm expecting, so I don't go over the 50 mark.
John - I won't forget you

Ok, just a short list of those that have expressed a wish to enter the Show and Shine tomorrow:
J.Riddell
Stevie B
John Felstead
Kevin Stanton
Colin C
Dave T
Allan P
Nigel S
555 Rob
Boxerflat4
Hope I haven't missed any one out.
See you all tomorrow hopefully.
Let me know who you are when you arrive, it's no good if you just park up and then look around the show without handing in the form, your car won't be judged.
