Just got my scoob last week (MY00 DBM Turbo) and when filling the tank up the gauge takes ages to hit the top. From an almost empty tank to full it takes 1-2 mins to hit the top. Is this another trait of scoobs or is it just mine?
Is also hard to fit the fuel nozzle in the filler (only really used Shell Optimax so far).
Simon.
P.S. Is a dutch import if that has any bearing?

yes it's normal, try tilting the filler to three o'clock (so to speak) when you fill up, it seems to work for me.
Ron.
What you'll also notice is, it doesn't take long to back to empty!

Yes, it's perfectly normal. There is a delay mechanism on the fuel gauge, to prevent it going from half full to empty when you go around corners quickly. You'll quickly get used to it
Fillnig up - rotate the nozzle 90 degrees to the right, and you'll find it fits just fine, and doesn't cut out every 5 seconds when filling up.

Cheers John & Ron. Good to know it isnt just me. I never thought about the idea of going around corners etc - well spotted.
I did manage to sort the fuel out with a little bit of wiggling - just need to get used to doing it.

Most petrol nozzles have a groove around the pipe. If you rest that groove on the bottom of the filler opening then it works fine. I agree, it is a pain though
