Your insurance policy won't tell you this directly but most will cover you for track days because you aren't actually racing.
Give them a call before you blow 80 odd quid on seperate insurance

...Unless you are with Zurich. Try contacting Darin Frow from the LTR. I am sure that he has contacts in that area. Ot there is always *RUM my nextdoor neighbour during office hours!!!

Tried my ins. company (NFU)but they won't cover it - but as you say, they cannot tell me where it says I am not covered as I'm not racing, timed etc so it would be interesting to get an independant opinion to look at the wording - there's a thought!!

I have checked my (and the company) email logs and I have not been able to find any mail from you...unfortunately without really knowing who I'm looking for it is a little difficult (i.e. no email address in your profile
).
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide any Track Day insurance on an individual basis - cover is however provided as an add-on to existing policyholders cover...I would stress that this is an extension to their existing policy with the same insurers..
