A very very sad thing has happened today like a fool I have sold my P1 and its gone off to its new owner.

Its horrible arriving home from work and not seeing it sat in the garage. It has left a void after being parted from it for 5 hours.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank the scoobynet community for making subaru ownership what it is. The last 4 years of my car owning life has been the enjoyment of driving impreza turbos, 1997 a MY97 wagon, 2000 a MY00 turbo, and in late 2000 I got my chance to own the stunning P1 WR.

For the time being I will not be owning another impreza :shock:. We have the Westfield XTR² for fun and weekends and I'll be driving about in a golf PD150 (ok so it will be slightly modified with 18" BBS wheels and chip ). I'll be lurking on scoobynet as usual but you'll probably find me at a few meets in the future.

Good luck with your racing and dont bend it on your 1st outing.

 

Think of all the money you'll save on fuel, insurance, servicing, no more worry about it getting vandalised/stolen, all the not-so-nice joys of Scooby ownership have gone with your car m8

Sorry to see the car go I don't think passenger runs around Donno will be quite the same in a Golf I'm looking forward to seeing the XTR2 in action - when will it be ready?

As for the XTR&sup2 - you'll be shocked to find out that westfield have beat the BTCC records at several tracks so I think it will be pretty quick - our car is lighter and much more powerful than there car

Your car was the best looking P1 i had the pleasure of seeing and being a passenger in (mine being second to yours) and i am gutted for ya m8. Donnington wont be the same without that lurvly noise!!

If its any consolation when i get my next car (sti prodrive) and its ready for track use ,you can do a few laps around donno with me, you drivin of course

Boomer - don't worry - all those flies came off pretty easy (photoshop - revert to original image LOL)

Arron - No Beemer for now - for the time being a couldn't justify the 14K price difference between the golf and the 330d. I'm ploughing all my cash into the westi so we can really kick some *** - if all goes well we will be competing with the car.

Ady - I will gladly show your car round dono - in return I'll strap you into the westi and you can scream as loud as you like...I won't hear a thing with the 1400 overbored busa engine with progressive dry nitrous sat 1ft from me

P1 - Sure I'll miss it - I cared for that car soooooo much - it had a fortune spent on it during my ownership. I really really hope the new owner enjoys and continues to care for it in the way that I did. I haven't driven a car that can be the best of both worlds in the way the P1 could. The golf won't be anything like as quick - but the westi will have R500s running for cover (wait until you see the spec )
