...in Manufacturers.
I own a Euro import WRX. When I phoned IM a while back to ask them about warranty registration, servicing etc, I got a short, rude answer.
Today, I called Ford UK about the same issues with a Belgian imported Ka. “No problem,” she said, “Your local dealer will sort that out for you, call back if you need any help in transferring the warranty from Belgium to UK.”
Could this be why Subaru are slipping down the JD Power survey?

Interesting comment Mate. When I registered my MY02 Belgian import WRX with IM, they couldn't have been more helpful.
As for Ford, they may try, but they don't succeed IMHO. We had a Ka a couple of years ago - frighteningly unreliable, full of rattles, bits dropping off etc. Maybe Ford are reasonable on the transfer of warranties because they realise you'll be using them regularly......

Hi,
have to say they were as nice as pie to me too when I registered my MY02 Belgian WRX. I guess it just depends who you talk to and whether they are having a bad day - which I agree is totally unprofessional .....

Same comments as Dave r No problems, sent in the form with the chassis no and it was registered! The person you spoke to was obviously having a bad day! My local main agent said that as long as it was registered there would be no problems in servicing the car and any warrenty claims that might be required. He was very helpful and couldn`t care less that it was an import. (UK spec MY02)
