Default which label maf...

ive got a turbo 2000 uk 97 its got running problems and after a diagnostic it said no volts on the lambda sensor so got a new one being delivered by lunchtime today but it also had a stored code 23 maf 4 times but no current codes it also had slightly low reading on the maf whilst running on the diagnostic. my neighbour has a wrx sti type r 98 and was wondering which label maf that has, mine is a purple label maf but if my neighbours has the same maf i could ask if i could borrow it to see if it makes a difference... im hoping the new lambda sensor will cure the problem, also have cleaned my maf with maf cleaner.
