Question

How many miles are you getting from a full tank in Uk Sti. Filled up yesterday after driving around town all week and averaged 25mpg.
This is more than I was getting in my MY99.

Chip.

Question

hmm.. seems to vary so much on the '01 and '02s, even the WRXs... some people claimed nigh on 300 miles to the tank on the WRX and I couldn't get it above 220!

Be interesting to see the differences between the STis.. of course if does also depend on how agressive a driver you are.. or rather how much you like see the rev warning light on the STi

As an average I get fewer MPG than on my RB5.
Around town MPG is 15 or less.

AndyW it's good to see someone talking sense on this subject for once! I've the "beer coupons" for an STI but I dread to think of the fuel bills, currently getting 17-20 MPG in a standard WRX.

Over more than a year for each, driven progressively (not aggressively) with reasonable mix of conditions -
MY99 25 mpg plus-or-minus 1 - very consistent
MY00 Exactly the same: but 26.5 using Optimax
STi UK (3 Months) 22 mpg, still settling down, seems more variable.

This accords closely with Autocar, which suggests 24 for standard Turbo, 23 for STiUK.

Cheers,

Phil

UK STi 7
Best for me so far was 260 miles for a tank (53 litres to fill back up) @ 22 mpg, worst was 180 @ 15 mpg.I average @ 220 miles = 19 - 20 mpg.
Cheers
Gary

Haven't worked out the MPG yet, but the best I've got out of my new UK Sti is 330 miles, worst 180, and seem to average around 230. Driving to / from work I'm getting about 10-15 miles less than in my old MY00 turbo. On a long motorway run is seems more economical.

Definitely seems thirstier than my previous MY98. I used to get about 260-280 miles from a tank (approx 48 litres to fill) in this car. The STi (Type UK) can only manage about 220-230 for same amount of fuel. I did manage 250 miles on Optimax (which is still a little scarce up here).

Average range for a tank of Optimax is 250 miles.

Definitely better MPG on a motorway run.

Cool

Hmmm, it more thirsty than my MY99 and it also seems to have a smaller fuel tank. I'm hoping that it will get better as it loosens up as mine has only done 400 miles so far...

Cool

UK STi7

230 - 250 miles per tank. Brimming full to yellow light.

Seems quite constant
