One of the best things about owning an Impreza, for me anyway, has been finding this community, not long after I got the car two years ago..

I reckon there must be loads of enthusiastic Scoob owners out there that don't know about Scoobynet.

So how about someone with some graphics skills knocking up a small "Visit Scoobynet" flyer (which you could include your username if you want to as being the "introducer")?
We could then print a few off, keep them in the glove box and stick em under the wiper blades of any parked Imprezas we see about...

I know, I know... I hate these under-wiper flyers too, but this one might be cool..

So what do you think?

Nice idea?
Sad muppet idea?

LOL, I do that already, except most of the time I leap on the unsuspecting non Scoobynetter subaru owners and talk them to death

I played around with a couple of flyer type things but never printed them off, Rich must exchange ideas sometime
Oh and thanks for the kind words last night

Michelle.

I brought this up about a year ago, but I was told that Scoobynet could get into trouble with people discarding the flyers and creating a litter problem.

Still a top idea though (since I though of it first ). If I had the time I would look for the thread...

Also, just a thought though, perhaps you could sell advertising space on the flyers - thus bringing in more money for the maintenance of scoobynet?

LOL - nice work Paul

Nimbus - I missed that thread when you first posted it
Honestly thought I'd come up with an original idea there!

...surprised to hear that the potential litter issue was the reason it was rejected, but fair enough...

We could all have a word with our Subaru dealers and get them to give out info as part of service / sales ???

Less people - more focussed - less litter ?????

I think the litter argument smells of slight paranoia.
Given the number of Imprezas in the country (relative to other cars) and the number of us that would actually go and put a flyer under another windscreen wiper the chances of these things actually causing any form of litter "problem" are next to none.

Secondly, most Impreza owners would probably be curious enough to hang onto the flyer just so they can check Scoobynet out. The flyers would then probably end up in the bin at home if they weren't interested

I think this is a good idea too.

Litter could be a problem if this was a large scale thing, but in reality rather than x-files land, 1 flyer on one scooby is hardy going to be a problem. After all, when I park in a retail park I often see every car in the car park getting a flyer, and they get away with it. Plus like said already, the owner of the car wouldpreobably keep it.

Excellent idea... had scoob a month without knowing about this site, would have been udeful to know earlier...but this could be because I'm a sad muppet

I'd willingly put them on scoobs...
