hello all,
I am on the verge of buying a new wrx sti p/drive which retails at £27,495 i wonder if anyone would have an idea on how much (if any!)is a realistic amount to haggle down?
Also if their is anything i should be aware of for this model ie the need for turbo timers and is 97 ron unleaded a better option than standard unleaded?
i appreciate your advise.

Unless the dealer is in a very good mood you won't get the price down... the best thing to go for are "extras" such as mats. The dealer can lose these costs.
Another is the trade-in price of your vehicle and also the finance figures.
I have survived over a year without a turbo timer. I just sit in the car for about 30 seconds to a minute (after driving off boost for a while) to make sure the engine has cooled down enough. I have friends with them and they must have nerves of steel to walk away from their cars with engines stil running!
Just remember when you get the car to run it in carefully, there have been problems on some of the dealers' demonstrator cars as a result of being hammered from day one.
The higher octane fuel is better for the car and Shell Optimax seems to make the newer cars run even better.
When you do get the car I hope you enjoy it. I certainly enjoyed the "test drive" I had from a very friendly dealer that knew I wasn't going to by it.
