Default Old japanese GPS radar scanner

Need a bit of help folks, bought a foz sti last yr came with an old yupiteru radar scanner think it has to do with GPS or something, got rid of that from the dash a while back an tonight I thought I'll get rid of the wire sticking up from the edge of the dash.. made the mistake of cutting the wire ignition was on and when I cut it the genome gauges dropped.. lights still on ( green back light) and now when I turn ignition on there's no start up sequence from the gauges and I've noticed the control unit won't respond, seems like it's not getting power an that's why the gauges aren't reading anything, seems like a fuse has maybe blown somewhere but I can't find a fuse for the control unit anywhere, appreciate any help, the gauge setup is the earlier sti genome setup if that's any help

Have you re connected the cut wires if you have not removed them already ? Worth doing that to see if that's the issue , did you short the wires as you cut or did you cut one at a time , I have always put fuses by the battery , the jdm bits I have taken out are often wired into the main loom , from removing previous gadget wiring from a jdm Fsti , worth taking the stuff off around the steering column and see if it's wired in there into the loom , plus check the fuses under the steering column and engine bay see if any are blown 👍

yes I have connected those wires back up it was my first thought, all connected back up and shrink tubed, still nothing, definitely either broken something or blown a fuse somewhere, haven't had time to properly look at it today yet mate but will have a look and try tracing that wiring had a quick look earlier and noticed the electric mirrors weren't working so I'm guessing it's either blown that fuse and another or the genome units working off that fuse? Thinking back I only tried the mirrors with the door open so it could be that they only work with the doors closed.. absolutely raging with myself just got it back from having a new stage 2 clutch in it aswell😂

If the power is on even part on with no lights on the dash the mirrors will work , just a case of finding the fuse , maybe number 6 fuse behind the coin tray where your drivers knees are 👍

No problem , good to hear it's solved , it's well worth putting a splitter in your bonnet scoop I riveted in a piece of aluminium , to cut the air inflow in half , and cut your snorkel down in the drivers wing , both help it run better and sound better 👍👍😂
