Uk turbo 2000, Worth saving or not?
Hi not posted in a while but, better late than never.
I bought this back in 2015 for parts, had big plans none of it happend. It just sat there. So now I have reached a point where it needs to go.
its a MY2000 UK turbo
it's just a matter of how as can be seen from the pictures its as you would expect from a car thats been sat.
Rotten Rear arches, sills, maybe inner sills, rear NS strut top
brake pipes rotten, pedal on the floor.
ABS light now on.
car starts and engine sounds sweet as a nut (had to unplug the MAF to make it run smooth)
before it was parked if i remeber correctly all that was wrong with the car was a CV joint clicking.
The question is what are these worth nowadays. I have looked on ebay and i have seen people asking 7k for cars with rotten arches and problems, I Know this isn't worth anything close to that, when I say worth I mean someone Will come and buy it for that amount of money.
If i thought i would get good money for it i would weld the arches in and sort all the issues and get it a 12 month test to sell it with but is it worth doing that or just moving it on as is?
sorry for going on abit but just want an idea of value.

You'd be into serious money to repair the rot. And in my opinion its not worth the hassle
The ones you see sitting 5-7k for sale with rotten arches etc are probably for sale for a long time.
These are only worth restoring for a love of the car or you can do the work yourself.

I would say that it's probably not worth your while.
Condition = lots of spend
Mileage = never going to get great money back once it's repaired
Market = £5k is realistic for a rust free one (not the usual eBay dreamworld listers)
I would break it or sell as-is for not much money to get it off your drive.

I did think about breaking it, but i have broke cars in past and i still have parts knocking about for cars from 10 years ago. I know how it goes sell the good parts in a month or so and then your left with a load of rubbish that ends up in the bin.
