Default Would a 2008 STI Hatch have a Digital Service Record?

Looking to purchase one of these but it appears the Service book has been mislaid/Lost

Would a digital footprint of the Service history be held centrally by Subaru as far back as 2008 or is that wishful thinking?

Thanks in advance

Wishful thinking I’d say. I’ve had all my cars serviced by main dealer or appropriate garages and unless you keep the paperwork / receipt of work done then nobody stamps the book anymore as most have lost it ! There will be no electronic trail

I’ve just checked in my folder and other than the pdi there is nothing in service record and yet it was serviced every year for first 3 years ( warranty ) and then by reputable companies and nothing in book , yet there is receipts for £13,400 ! Lol

Is it high mileage ? Oil brake fluid and gearbox oil are all easy to check how clean they are , main thing is the cambelt , I tend to change every thing when I buy a car , so you are starting from a fresh slate easier to keep on top of what needs doing , I won’t do a cambelt but everything else is fairly straight forward 👍

It’s a bit like buying some Jdm imports , some have proof of a cam belt change and that’s it , some little or no service , some have a decent service history , you do a jdm vx car check and that’s about it 👍

How do you lose all the service history, as car enthusiasts were very careful with things like that, it will all go in a folder in a cupboard or drawer where its somewhere safe. Have they said how they lost the service history ? Is it a UK or JDM car, ask them whilst it's been in their ownership where they had it serviced or any work done and contact those places for some info, i'd tread really carefully with a car that's got no history or proof of the history esp in this day and age.

Might have been serviced by the previous owner,i do all my own servicing on mine and every receipt is kept.
If like mine a jdm then good chance no service books or records would come with it.
mine did but its all in Japanese.

Im the same as above about doing my own servicing , but won’t do cam belts 👍😂 the subaru jdm service history i did have , I used a google translator for , which was helpful , my jdm gtr that’s a different story , she talks to me in Japanese when I start her , don’t have a clue what she’s saying amusingly the mrs got into her , and asked me what’s the saying , im thinking how do F… do I know 😂😂 but due to all the tech a google translator was very important and still is , pairing Bluetooth music various settings for the car , but I got there in the end 👍😂 it’s that quick too busy looking up then playing with any tech
