Apart from a few expected , over the years 2.5 re builds I’ve hardly had any thing go wrong , centre diff went on my 55 Fsti but it was not that expensive in the big picture , my 04 Fsti rust was the issue , was repairable but due to being on 198 k miles , I broke it for parts , if you want frustrating brilliance , buy a r35 gtr and add a few 00 v a subaru 👍😁 , my gtr has not cost a fortune but no jobs are straight forward on it , and nothing is cheap , 👍😁😂

It’s just bad driving ,usual ignorance , that’s why I bought a dash cam , i like to put my hazards on or wipers and washers they normally get the hint , if that fails and it’s suitable a bit off boot and bye bye 👍😂

In the old days it was Volvo drivers as they were old people , often getting near to death , my dad being no exception , god rest his sole ☹️ nowadays it seems to be anything German built plus Lexus drivers , or is it because any one can buy the above on finance and more are on the road , No 😂 it’s just German built and Lexus , disappointingly you get the odd boy racer , who is happy to die to prove he’s faster than you , fill your boots and avoid them , which is a shame from a fellow petrol head even if it’s not a scooby 👍 that’s why i got dashcam , funnily enough , my ute was hit by an 86 year old driving a Toyota who is hopefully no longer driving

Only last week and it was very very funny
RS5 THRASHER
just driving home very normally and this dick was about 20 inches from my boot. I carried on as normal with him being a clown and when we got to an advancing dual carriageway I flicked it into the full fat 502 bhp , waited for him to boot it and go past and then I unleashed the look on his face ! …. Priceless at around 145 he bottled it

Nar, nothing to do with that, that's just normal running costs of performance cars.
With Subaru's as ypu know they have a lot of known issues esp engine issues, a lot of owners will have had to do a rebuild at some point. You then have to keep up with stone chips galore as the paint and lacquer from the factory wasn't great, it's thin and chips easily, again a lot of owners will have had paintwork at some point due to this. Also you have added the costs of keeping a 15 -20 year old car in good condition like dealing with corrosion and rust, worn rubber parts, worn parts in general esp on the underside. I spent around £1400 recently just on worn bushes, worn track rod ends, worn ball joints and a few other underside things that needed replacing due to age, if you buy a second hand Subaru you can expect to replace most of them unless youv'e managed to get the car from an enthusiast where whatever needs replacing gets replaced regardless.
